What we do
Winona County PartnerSHIP strives to create better health together by focusing on seven key initiatives. While each of the initiatives focuses on an individual aspect of community health and wellness, when combined they work together to address the most common healthy living obstacles faced by Winona County residents, employees and visitors. These initiatives are:
Healthy Eating & Active Living in Schools – Addressing physical activity and nutritional habits developed in Winona County education systems.
Child Care – Focusing on providing LANA Training (Learning About Nutrition through Activities) and CATCH Training (Coordinated Approach To Child Health) to county child care providers.
Worksite Wellness – Creating wellness options and resources for employees working in Winona County.
Healthy Eating in Communities – Increasing the availability of nutritious choices in restaurants and markets and raising awareness about better food choices.
Tobacco-Free Living – Rallying for a smoke-free environment in public spaces.
Active Living – Providing safer places and easier ways to get moving across Winona County.
Healthcare – Improving the connection between healthcare providers, patients and community resources.
